About Haim

HAIM is an all-girl rock band based in Los Angeles comprised of the three Haim sisters,  Este (bass guitar and vocals), Danielle (lead vocals, guitar, and drums), and Alana Haim (guitars, keyboards, and vocals). All three sisters are skilled in a variety of instruments and play a pop sound for studio work and a typically rock sound for their live shows.

The sisters got their start in music by growing up in a musical family. They’ve been playing instruments since they were young and in a cover band  Rockinghaim fronted by their parents. Este and Danielle, the elder sisters, even performed with the pop group, Valli Girls in 2005. But then in 2007, the sisters formed HAIM with their younger sister Alana. Early on the girls didn’t consider it a professional career until after Danielle became a successful touring guitarist sometime in 2012.

After this, the group’s first EP, Forever, was released as a limited-time download. The group also found success at the South by Southwest festival, which led to a deal with Rolydor Records in 2012. The band then began work on their debut studio album in between touring dates, which included appearances at major events like the Glastonbury Festival.

Once the album was complete, it found fast success charting in the top ten in several countries, including the #1 spot in the UK. 

Since then, the group has continued their meteoric rise to success with hit albums after hit albums and successful singles after successful singles. And this increasing body of work has earned HAIM awards nominations as well as a growing legion of fans celebrating every rocking live show or pop-inspired album song.
